I started getting into basic dog training back in 1999, I then started doing basic training with rescue parrots. Worked with dogs professionally, managing open spaces in 2002-2004.
After gaining more hands on practical experience working at the vets and rescue centre, I then embarked on my behavioural studies for both species.
Our family owned small parrots and rescue dogs since the 1980's.
It became apparent the behaviour was of great interest. It was very important to me to help continue to educate people on animal emotional well being, as well as practical training.
Since 2003 I have advised on both parrot and dog behavioural problems on a one to one basis, also for charity.
I sudied long and hard for my courses and still to this day continue to go to seminars, read books and attend webinars. I am always keeping up to date with the latest on animal behavioural science.
I have a lot of compassion for the animals I work with as well as their owners.
I am a full member of the pet professional guild and certified in canine nutrition. I currently do volunteer work in my spare time for my local greyhound re-homing centre.
